The work in detail
Tree removal
Whole-tree removal, from a single problem tree over the house to stands of trees on acreage. We have the machinery to fell, section and remove trees safely, including the big rural jobs where the tree is a long way from the truck.
Tree lopping and trimming
Crown lifting, deadwood removal and cutting trees back off roofs, sheds, fences and driveways. Done to keep the tree healthy and the property safe, not butchered for the sake of speed.
Stump grinding and removal
Stumps ground out below ground level so you can mow, build or replant over them. We grind fresh stumps as part of a removal or come back for old stumps that have been in the way for years.
Storm and hazard clean-up
Fallen trees, hanging limbs and storm damage cleared safely, including trees down near private power lines, where being a Level 2 electrical contractor as well matters. We make it safe, clear it and cart it away.
Clearance around private power lines
Vegetation growing into the private line between the network and your house is your responsibility as the owner, and it is dangerous work to DIY. With both the tree crew and the Level 2 accreditation in house, we can isolate the supply, do the clearance and reconnect, all in one visit.
Green waste, gone
Our own tippers mean the mess leaves when we do. Mulch stays if you want it; otherwise limbs, logs and green waste are loaded and carted for proper disposal.
Tree work on the coast and in the hills
The Mid North Coast grows trees fast: camphor laurels taking over paddocks up the valleys, gums over roofs in town, and storm damage every summer from Newcastle to Coffs Harbour. We work the whole run, and the acreage jobs, big trees, poor access, real volumes of timber, are where our machinery earns its keep.
Tree work pairs naturally with the rest of what we do. Trees out, stumps ground, then the excavator moves in: it is one booking, not three.

Straight answers
Do I need council approval to remove a tree?
Often, yes. Most councils on the Mid North Coast require a permit to remove or heavily prune trees over a certain size, with exemptions for some species and for trees close to dwellings. The rules differ between council areas, so check with your council, and we can help you work out what applies when we quote.
What does tree removal cost?
It comes down to the size of the tree, how close it is to structures and power lines, access for machinery, and whether the timber and green waste needs to be carted away. A straightforward paddock tree and a large gum over the house are very different jobs. We quote each job on sight, free and without obligation.
Can you work near power lines?
Yes, and this is where we differ from most tree crews. As Level 2 accredited electrical contractors we can disconnect the supply, clear vegetation around the private service line safely, and reconnect when the job is done, without waiting on a separate electrician.
What happens to the green waste?
Your choice. We can chip smaller material into mulch for the property, leave cut timber as firewood lengths, or load the lot into our tippers and take it away for proper disposal and recycling.
Do you handle storm damage?
Yes. Fallen and hanging trees are dangerous, doubly so when lines are involved. Make the area safe, keep people away and call us: with the tree gear and the electrical accreditation in one crew, we can deal with the tree and the power side together.
