The work in detail
Bulk and detailed excavation
Cut and fill, footings, service trenches and detailed excavation around existing structures. We run our own excavators with our own operators, so the machine that turns up is the right size for the job, not whatever the hire yard had left.
House pads, shed pads and site preparation
Pads cut, filled and compacted ready for the slab, on level blocks and on the sloping, tricky ones. We prepare building sites end to end: strip the topsoil, cut the pad, sort the drainage and leave a site your builder can start on.
Trenching and drainage
Service trenches for power, water and communications, plus stormwater and site drainage that actually moves water away from where it does damage. Because we are also Level 2 accredited, a trench for an underground power run and the connection itself can be one job with one contractor.
Driveways and access
Rural driveways formed, boxed and finished in gravel or road base, along with crossovers and hardstands. On acreage, a driveway done properly the first time saves years of patching washouts.
Tipper hire and haulage
Our own tippers cart spoil off site and bring fill, gravel and road base in. Material haulage can be part of an excavation package or a job on its own.
Crane truck hire and lifts
Crane truck work for lifting and shifting: machinery, materials, beams and awkward loads. Handy on rural properties where deliveries otherwise stop at the front gate.
Earthmoving where the work is
From new estates around Port Macquarie and Thrumster to farm tracks up the Macleay and Manning valleys, the earthmoving work on the Mid North Coast splits between town blocks and acreage. We do both, and the rural jobs are the ones we most want: bigger sites, real machinery work and clients who value a contractor with their own gear.
Wet hire is our standard: the machine comes with an experienced operator, insured and ready to work. You get the result, not a rental agreement and a learning curve.

Is this wet hire or dry hire?
Wet hire. Our machines come with our operators. That keeps the work fast, insured and done to the standard we put our name on. If you only need cartage, tipper work can be booked on its own.
What size jobs do you take on?
From a day of trenching or a single house pad up to full site preparation across a rural property. If it is bigger than our gear can handle we will tell you straight, rather than making a mess of it.
What decides the price of excavation work?
The main factors are access, ground conditions, how much material has to move, and how far spoil has to be carted. Rock, tight access and wet ground all add time. We look at the site, then quote a firm price, so the number does not creep once the machine is on site.
Do I need approval for excavation work?
It depends what the excavation is for. Work that is part of an approved build is covered by that approval; standalone earthworks can need their own consent depending on your council and the scale. We flag it during quoting, and services are always located before digging, with Before You Dig Australia checks part of the process.
Can you handle a job that crosses trades?
Yes, that is the point of the banner. If your excavation needs trees out first, power disconnected before digging, or rubbish carted afterwards, the same phone call covers it. One contractor, one schedule, one invoice.
